The OHSAA released a memo to member schools yesterday afternoon outlining updates related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the statewide school closures.
All member schools are under a MANDATORY NO CONTACT period until April 5th. In addition to this, all facilities used for the purpose of conducting athletic activities are also CLOSED.
During this time of many unknowns, it is important to know that the OHSAA Non-Interscholastic Rule is still applicable to all athletes. If you are a spring sport athlete, please, do not begin practicing with your summer team at this time. You place yourself and your team in jeopardy of being declared ineligible.
The OHSAA will allow member schools to reassess our situations beginning on April 6th with a possible practice and/or acclimatization period. Contests could resume as soon as April 11th.
Please be patient with the school district as this is a very rapidly changing situation we are facing. Information is changing faster than we can release at times.
Thank you for patience and support during this time.
