Coaches Classic Recap For Big Blue Swim

Over the three day weekend, the Big Blue Swim Team competed in the largest high school swim meet in the nation at Miami University. The Southwest Ohio Classic took place in over 10 different locations with over 800 swimmers in total. The team was competitive and many swam best times in their respective events. The following swimmers deserve to be recognized for their performances:
Aryonna Blue swam best times in the 50 Fly and 100 Fly with new times of 38.63 and 1:35.98
Micah Bridge swam a best time in the 100 Freestyle with a new time of 1:21.33
Owen Bullard swam a best time in the 50 Fly with a time of 26.94
Senior Nicholas Cafarelli had a big weekend with best times in the 100 Freestyle (57.12), 50 Back (29.55), 100 Back (1:03.43), and the 200 Back (2:24.49)
Lindsey Flenner swam a best time in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 30.27
Freshman Crystal Lawrence swam best times in the 200 Freestyle (2:29.02) and the 100 Fly (1:18.98)
Sophomore Joyce Meyer swam best times in almost all of her events including the 100 Free (1:21.15), 50 Back (45.36) and the 100 Back (1:46.33)
Freshman Sophia Mignery crushed the 200 Breaststroke for the first time with a time of 2:57.00 and the 100 Freestyle (1:12.14)
Senior Seth Vauter swam best times in the 50 Free (28.51) and the 200 Free (2:30.45)
Junior Vishnu Vengala dropped a whopping 5 seconds in the 50 Free for a time of 37.34
and finally, Sophomore Gabbie Wright had an incredible weekend with new times in the 50 Free (34.40), 100 Free (1:19.31), and the 200 Free (2:53.61)
The team travels to the Waynesville Invite on Saturday, January 25th, the final meet before championship season. Go Blue!
