Hamilton’s Boys and Girls track and field team competed in the SW Ohio District meet held at Ross High School this past week. Athletes must finish in the top 4 in their respective events to qualify for the regional meet. Hamilton had 3 athletes qualify, including one athlete who was the District Champion.
Nature Sanford was the district champion in the shot put, where she had a personal best throw of 37’9″ to win the event and qualify for regionals.
Ariana Avery placed 3rd in the high jump with personal best jump of 5’4″ to qualify for the regional meet.
Francisco Perez placed 4th in the discus with a throw of 141’10” was one inch short of his best throw of the year.
All three athletes will compete on Wednesday afternoon at Huber Heights Wayne High School starting at 5:00 PM.
