Riggins Claims Title Of All-Time Scoring Leader

Hamilton’s CiCi Riggins earned the distinction of becoming the all-time career scoring leader in Hamilton girls basketball history last night. Despite the 62-51 loss to Northwest, Riggins was the highlight of the night.

Cici’s drive to the basket and foul shot gave her the edge on the record previously held by Jillian Spurlock (1,214). Riggins finished the game with 25 points giving her 1,227 points on her career. Big Blue also saw offensive production from Leah Smith (8), Kira Ash (8), and Anna Cardwell (6).

Big Blue’s winning streak came to an end against Northwest, and the girls are now 4-4 overall. They will be back in action on Saturday at the Freshman School taking on Harrison at 12:30 and 2:00 pm.
