This past weekend the Hamilton High School Wrestling team traveled to the Edgewood Invitational where they placed 16th as a team out of 28 teams. The boys wrestled very tough considering they brought only 6 wrestlers for the 14 weight classes that were competed in. Dylan Deck and Dilyn Boyle were both one match out of placing in the top 6 of their weight classes. Darius Pitts won a match in a tough 132 lb weight class where he drew the one seed in the first round.
Highlights were when Aiden Bullard and Nick Feaver both made the finals of the tournament where each wrestler lost hard fought bouts. Bullard placed 2nd dominating the two and three seed wrestlers on his route to make the finals and Feaver bounced back after a devastating loss in the quarterfinals to make the finals to wrestle for 3rd place. Hamilton High School will see it’s next competition at the SWOCA Coaches Classic held at Harrison High School this coming Saturday and Sunday.
