Hamilton’s Boys Basketball team played host to rival Fairfield last night in Greater Miami Conference action. Big Blue got a slow start but outscored the Indians late in the first quarter and the second quarter with Jaylen Robinson hitting a big shot to give Hamilton a 20 – 19 advantage. Hamilton jumped out quickly in the third quarter and allowed the Indians to claw back slightly in the final minutes but held them off to maintain a 47 – 44 victory. D’Marco Howard led all scorers with 15 points while his brother Myles Howard scored 9 points and pulled down a monster 17 rebounds. Hunter Hamilton also contributed 7 points and 7 rebounds for Big Blue who out-rebounded Fairfield 46 to 29 on the night.

With the win, Hamilton extends its record to 7-7 overall and 5-4 in the league which moves them into 4th place. They will be in action on Friday night as they travel to Lakota West for games at 4:30 – 6:00 – 7:30.
