The 2001 Hamilton Big Blue Baseball Season was a memorable one. It marked the last time that a Big Blue baseball team has reached the OHSAA State Final Four. The team racked up Sectional, District, and Regional titles on their way to piling up a 26 – 8 record. The team made a deep tournament run – falling to eventual state champion Dublin Coffman in the semi-finals in extra innings.
Throughout the course of the season, this team was able to achieve the following accomplishments:
-A 26-8 record
-A GMC shared title
-It was the 18th time Coach Bowling’s team has reached 20+ wins
-They were crowned Sectional, District, and Regional champions
