Oak Hills Tops Hamilton                              

On Tuesday December 15th, the Oak Hills Highlanders defeated the Hamilton Big Blue 2691 – 2606.  The Big Blue charge was led by junior Jonathan Perkins with games of 189 & 245, while junior Dylin Hubbard was close behind bowling games of 158 & 245.  Junior Kane Proctor shot 223 in the first game and sophomore Andrew Sharp bowled a nice game of 193.  After the individual games, the Big Blue was down by 128 pins and out bowled the Highlanders 768-725 in the baker games but ultimately came up 85 pins short of the win.

 

Big Blue gets back on the winning track

After the holidays, the boys of the Big Blue returned to defeat the Sycamore Aviators 2300 – 2094 on January 5th.  Andrew Sharp was the high bowler of the day rolling games of 161 & 231.  Juniors Jonathan Perkins and Dylin Hubbard added games of 196 & 180 to help pace the team to another GMC victory.

 

Hamilton Big Blue rolls Withrow

On Wednesday January 6th the Big Blue boys rolled Withrow by a score of 2302 – 1878.  The lane conditions and Stone’s Lanes were not optimal for high scores as junior Jonathan Perkins was the only bowler to top 200 on the day.  Jonathan shot a nice series of 428 (games of 224 & 204).  Junior Dylin Hubbard reach 174, sophomore Andrew Sharp topped out at 176, and senior Mark Sturgill rolled a nice game of 170.

 

Big Blue gets another GMC WIN!

Wednesday January 13th, the boys of the Big Blue traveled to bowl Lakota West and walked away with another win in the GMC.  Senior Mark Sturgill shot his best series of the season with games of 231 & 173.  Junior Jonathan Perkins was consistent on the day with scores of 192 & 200, while junior Kane Proctor shot a nice game of 199 and senior Jimmy Wyrick rolled 190.  Junior Scott Tolbert was consistent with his two games adding another 175 to the Big Blue total.  After all was said and done, the Big Blue walked away with a 2297 – 1540 victory.

 

Hamilton Pulls Away from St. Xavier

On Thursday January 14th Big Blue boys faced St. Xavier at Fairfield Lanes and improved their record to 9-2 by defeating the St. X Bombers 2561 – 2337.  Junior Kane Proctor led the way with his best series of the season rolling games of 207 & 237.  Junior Dylin Hubbard kept pace rolling 224 & 181.  Sophomore Andrew Sharp added a nice game of 191.  The boys recent struggles with baker games seemed to come to an end while averaging 182 per game.

 

Hamilton defeats Talawanda

On Monday January 18th the Big Blue boys traveled to Talawanda for what would be a heart pounding finish.  After the individual games and 3 baker games Hamilton was down by 2 pins with only 1 baker game left.  Big Blue won the final baker game 176 – 169 giving the Big Blue a 2585 – 2580 victory.  Junior Dylin Hubbard was high for the day with scores of 201 & 200. Sophomore Andrew Sharp bowled a nice game of 200, and senior Jimmy Wyrick added a game of 196.

 

Hamilton falls to Colerain

On Tuesday January 19th Hamilton Big Blue hosted the red hot Colerain Cardinals.  The Big Blue boys shot their best match score of the season but it was not enough as they lost 2900 – 2734.  Junior Jonathan Perkins was on point rolling 245 & 218 for a series of 463.  Other individual high games were rolled by sophomore Andrew Sharp (223), senior Jimmy Wyrick (226), and junior Kane Proctor (212).  The loss takes Hamilton to 10-3 overall and 3-2 in the GMC.

 

Big Blue defeats Norwood

On Tuesday January 26th, Hamilton defeated Norwood 2382 – 1921.  Junior Dylin Hubbard took the lead for the Big Blue rolling games of 232 & 268.  Sophomore Andrew Sharp bowled a high game of 215, and senior Mark Sturgill added a nice game of 183.

Dylin Hubbard hits 500!

During the match against Norwood on Tuesday January 26th junior Dylin Hubbard shot games of 232 & 268 for a 500 series.  The 500 series is the highest series of Dylin’s high school career and the highest 2 game series for a Big Blue bowler since Kyle Tillery shot 512 in 2011.
