Monday night at the Hamilton High School Athletic Center proved to be a memorable night for the Girls Basketball Team. Not only did the team run its record to 11-3 overall and 7-3 in the conference, but the fans were also treated to quite an accomplishment. Senior point guard Takyra Gilbert helped lead the Big Blue with 18 points — putting her into the 1,000 point club of Hamilton Basketball history. She is now the fourth female to accomplish this feat, along with seven male players from the old Hamilton High, Taft, Garfield, and new Hamilton High.
The girls are back in action on Saturday, January 16th as the Lebanon Warriors come to Big Blue. Game times are 11:00, 12:30, and 2:00 PM.
